Riders sign DT Zack Evans to four-year extension

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian defensive tackle and notorious pierogi eater Zack Evans to a four-year contract extension.

The deal could keep the 28-year-old Regina native with the club through 2022.

The 6-foot-4, 295 pound Evans joined the Riders as a territorial junior in 2012 but was taken by the Ottawa Redblacks in the 2013 expansion draft. After four years in Ottawa, Evans signed a one-year, $170,000 deal with the Riders last February.
