According to 3DownNation’s Justin Dunk, Sherman signed a two-year deal that included a team option for a third season when he joined the Alouettes last December.

But with the Alouettes having gone 3-13 and missed the playoffs in his inaugural season, has been speculation about Sherman’s job security as well as that of general manager Kavis Reed. Both look to be returning, however.

The 63-year-old Sherman was head coach of the Green Bay Packers for six years from 2000-2005 compiling a 61-47 record and leading the Packers to four playoff berths and three straight NFC North Division titles.
