Veteran Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive end Charleston Hughes has been charged with impaired driving, according to CJME 980 in Regina. From the CJME story:

Regina Police said they received a call for a report of a suspicious vehicle around 2 a.m. on Oct.11, two days before the Saskatchewan Roughriders played against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

A truck was running on the side of the road in the area of Ring Road and North Albert Street Overpass with a man behind the wheel who was not responding to police.

Police members asked the man to get out of the vehicle. Once he did, since he showed signs of intoxication, he was taken into custody and taken to Regina police headquarters where charges were laid.

A court date has been set for October 31, 2018.

Hughes was acquired by Saskatchewan via an off-season trade and leads the CFL with 15 sacks through 16 games in 2018.
