Ackie has played in 52 career CFL games making 109 tackles, forcing four fumbles, two sacks, two interceptions while scoring one touchdown after the Alouettes chose the 26-year-old in the first round of the 2015 CFL draft.
Redblacks defensive coordinator Noel Thorpe is familiar with Ackie having spent parts of three seasons together in Montreal.
