Williams went down after going down without contact in the second half to Hamilton’s 26-24 win over the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday. Recovery from an Achilles injury is typically anywhere from six to 12 months.
Acquired in the trade that sent quarterback Johnny Manziel to the Montreal Alouettes, Williams has 25 catches for 397 yards and a touchdown in eight games this season (four with Hamilton.)
Williams will 31 in September and has already battled back from a torn ACL suffered in 2016.
