Rice was one of the pieces acquired by Montreal when the Als traded for quarterback Johnny Manziel and fellow offensive linemen Tony Washington in exchange for Canadian defensive end Jamaal Westerman, receiver Chris Williams and first round picks in 2020 and 2021.
The 30-year-old was due to have his salary guaranteed after the Alouettes game on Friday, but don’t expect Rice to be on the open market for long.
