The Toronto Argonauts say that quarterback Ricky Ray has been released from hospital but will miss “significant time” because of the injury.
The team says Ray was released from hospital on Monday and is “recovering comfortably at home with his family.”
The 38-year-old Ray was carted off the field on a stretcher after suffering a neck injury during the third quarter of the Argos’ home-opening loss to Calgary on Saturday night.
“Ray is still to undergo more tests to further evaluate the injury,” the statement read. “He will miss significant time this season due to the injury and there is no timetable for his return at this point.”
