The Saskatchewan Roughriders have listed Zach Collaros as the No. 1 quarterback on their depth chart but that doesn’t mean Collaros is the starter according to head coach Chris Jones.
“We’ll see, we’ll see,” Jones said with a wry smile on his face. “They know what their roles are and they know exactly how things are going to work out.”
Regina Leader-Post beat writer Murray McCormick asked if not naming a starting quarterback is going to be a trend all season long.
“We’ll just have to go and see if we declare a starter one week or the other,” Jones said. “By the way, Zach will start for us on the defensive line.”
Jones has known who the starting quarterback will be for two weeks.
