Riders’ Twitter to Bombers fan: ‘How’s your QB situation going?’

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have rubbed a little salt on Matt Nichols’ knee.

The Riders fired off a cheeky tweet Thursday night in response to a Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan who had the audacity to chirp the team’s quarterbacks. The target: the injury to the Bombers starting quarterback and resulting chaos.

While one can certainly question the wisdom of a Bomber fan chirping a Riders squad with not one but two quarterbacks with CFL experience while debating the relative merits of Chris Streveler and Alex Ross, using an injury to clap back against said fan seems a little uncouth… like taking a $70,000 signing bonus then retiring.
