Ticats OL Ryan Bomben traded to the Alouettes

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have traded Canadian offensive lineman Ryan Bomben to the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for the first overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft.

The 30-year-old has played three seasons for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, starting 48 games and was a CFL East Division all-star the last two years. Bomben is entering the final season of his contract.

The deal sees the Ticats acquire four draft picks from the Alouettes, including Montreal’s first (1st overall), fourth (31st overall) and sixth (44th overall) in this year’s draft, as well as the Als’ natural second-round selection in 2019. In addition to Bomben, the Alouettes get international receiver Jamal Robinson, Hamilton’s first (2nd overall), fourth (34th overall) and seventh (56th overall) round selections in 2018 as well as a player from Hamilton’s negotiation list.
