With mini-camps set to get underway, teams around the league are preparing to hit the field for the first time in 2018.
The Alouettes kick off the slate in Vero Beach, Florida April 16-18, close to 30 players are expected mainly from the offensive side of the ball including quarterback Josh Freeman. The Redblacks will be in the familiar confines of TD Place. Same with the Ticats at Tim Hortons Field. The Argos are back at IMG Academy in Florida with all players on the roster attending.
The Bombers are staying in Winnipeg with every quarterback and a mix of first-year players and veterans planning to be there. The Riders will have around 40 veteran players at their mini-camp including each quarterback and the rest will be first-time CFL players. For the first time in team history, the Eskimos will have current roster players at mini-camp. The Stampeders are at IMG Academy in Florida with mostly CFL newcomers but also new players to the team making the trip. While the Lions are in B.C.
