Ottawa has released receiver Kenny Shaw.
The 26-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Redblacks in February 2017, but after playing three games making six catches for 66 yards Shaw tore his ACL, ending his season.
Shaw caught 77 passes for 1,004 yards and five touchdowns in 2016 when he rose to prominence in the CFL.
Ottawa gave Brad Sinopoli and Diontae Spencer substantial raises in the off-season and that along with the injury factored into letting Shaw loose.
