See, this is why Chris Jones is as good as he is, and why you aren’t, and it’s undoubtedly also why you’re so obsessed with him, and why you think about him everyday, and post about him everyday, and why he owns your life. Manziel is absolutely a prospect. He hasn’t played a down in the CFL and he didn’t do very well in his time in the NFL either. We don’t know what course his career will take from here, and Jones has a well known reputation for being a hard worker and leaving no stone unturned. The Riders have two great QBs right now but they’re both on one year contracts. My guess that whoever loses the competition to be the starter won’t re-sign with the Riders, and will probably move on to compete for the #1 job in Montreal or Calgary. We’re also hearing that Manziel is still focusing on the NFL, which is understandable, but what that means is that he may wait until the NFL training camps roll around before making a decision to go to the CFL, and that would mean that he would miss the CFL training camps and the beginning of the season, which would mean that he probably wouldn’t be ready to compete for a starting position until next year. None of this is guaranteed, of course, but it’s a very plausible sequence of events, and Jones is probably the hardest working GM in the league and he prepares for many different scenarios. He leaves no stone unturned, and that’s why he’s so successful, and why you are completely obsessed with him and can’t get him out of your head. He OWNS you.
