Correct me if i am wrong but my understanding of the neg list process is the Ticats had to put a contract on the table that would remain open for one year. So johnny can sign it and show up to training camp. So he is correct in saying he can play in the CFL if he wants to. Now it may be for a week or 10 years but he still “played”. After one year and no sign it he becomes a FA. He can also be traded but he can demand a contract in 1o days. let me know where i am wrong on this.

I would be glad to see him play up here. I think it would be exciting whether it be for the TiCats, Als, or somebody else… He’d likely tear it up if he was coached right. But the obsessive coverage is annoying when he is not even signed by a CFL team.

Bottom line is he has to throw it and somebody has to catch it. Ricky Ray – Doug Flutie both were starters their first year in the CFL and as we all know the rest was history. Manziel certainly has the ability to do just as those guys did if given the opportunity to play full time his first year. Time will tell if he joins the league.
