Again, like usual riderfans are missing the point of this current situation. It’s the fact he did it not once, but a second time after he had previously been charged. The fact he still shows such poor judgement after he’ s supposedly matured so much is a cause for concern.

Yes, Philski, our legal system is a joke. But this “minor” charge doesn’t warrant priority. There are REAL CRIMINALS whose cases have been kicked because of their constitutional right to a “speedy” trial. Some of these serious cases have delayed over 2 years, so don’t come off all surprised at this “back-burner” case…it makes you look completely ignorant of the legal system of the country that you, ostensibly, live in.

We don’t know (as we don’t do blood tests) how many people are high on pot or prescribed meds and drive and have serious crashes causing death and injury. I testified before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights on changes to the impaired driving laws where the firm I worked for had done a survey and it was shocking how many admitted to driving to work on legit prescriptions that impaired their ability to drive.

I doubt pot improves your driving ability but like I say we don’t in Canada draw blood from drivers post crashes so it’s not well known.
