Really? and then 1 and then 0 …and then adopt the NFL rules…and then the CFL ceases to exist. Do you know how many Canucks are playing in the NFL? We are turning out MORE good players now than less. IF you think you have all the answers, please answer this: name the CDN starting players that are in the CFL right now, that don’t belong there (as you claim)?

Great idea. However, they did something really stupid: negating the most exciting play in a game, by allowing a speeding defender to hit/push/carry a receiver out of bounds. When a receiver makes a leaping catch (maybe even with one hand), fully extended, his height makes it possible for the defender to practically carry him several yards to the boundary line. It is inconceivable that the league wants to negate this kind of excitement! It makes the stripes’ job easier, but at what cost? Which braniac(?) introduced this rule change?

Why not just eliminate coaches challenges? The games don’t have to be perfect, just entertaining.

In reply to al. Keep the Canadian content rule as is. If QB is Canadian he counts toward the ratio period if he plays in the game. If a team dresses a Canadian QB AND he plays 3 plays in each game the team can dress one extra player and carry one extra player on the roster . Let’s support Canadian QBs and develop them

Joe: A Canadian is a Canadian. It doesn’t matter where he goes to school. Basing it on that would be a pointless change for change sake.
We now have 37 million people, so it also makes no sense to lower Canadian players to far less than
when there were 15-20 million people.
It’s very disappointing to hear so many people say to lower the amount of Canadians in the CFL too. Where’s your patriotism? Throw Canadian players under the bus to replace them with Anerican mercenaries with no knowledge or appreciation for our league and its history. Yeah, great idea!
But saying go ahead and use steroids to get the body type you want? That has to be the dumbest comment that I’ve heard in a long time.
Rather than go into all the obvious reasons, I would suggest that you read up on ex-NFL star Lyle Alzado. Then let me know if you still think thats a good idea.
It’s so discouraging hearing so many counter productive ideas. I think I need to find another site that has real Canadian Football fans, not a bunch of NFL wannabe followers with inferiority complexs.
