Is it too early to give Area51 the Asshat of the Year award?

I like the idea of using King George School as a site for the HOF. Unsure what its use is at the moment. Game day ticket gets you free admission. I agree the 4th level concourse is way to high, too many stairs. You wont have a lot of people visiting except people sitting up there.

But the majority of annual inductees are former CFL players. The league likes to tout and show respect for its history, rightly so I think… well, there’s a big chunk of that in the CFHOF.

True, but the league markets its history and their HOF inductees are part of it.

If not the TV deal funds, partner up with some sponsorship to make it happen. I’d suggest some kind of approach to a traveling roadshow too to share the HOF with other league cities, not just the annual game celebrating the current inductees.

And I don’t feel the CFL should go it alone — the City of Hamilton, while doing little more than keeping the CFHOF alive with operating support over the past couple decades, has a lot of its own historical stuff stored in a warehouse somewhere in the city. There’s been talk of making a museum to host all that. This would be an ideal complement for a longer-term solution, whether near the stadium or not.

Not moving the whole thing to Regina where it belongs is a huge mistake. And enjoy looking at a replica Grey Cup, Hamilton. It’s as close as you will get with the Golden Girls in charge of football operations.
