Vince Young has officially ended his Riders career – even though it never really started.
“That window has closed,” Young said on Barstool Sports Pardon My Take podcast.
The Riders added Young to their negotiation list last February and signed him in March to a standard one-year plus an option contract which did not include upfront money.

But Young tore his hamstring during training camp leading to his release. It’s been reported Saskatchewan added him to the “retired” list and therefore still control his CFL rights.
“I really did have a good time in Canada,” Young said. “Canadians, eh.”
