Speed is one thing, can he make a guy miss, or better yet, can he take a hit. I think he may underestimate the other “tools” needed to play football.

Hard to believe the Stamps let this guy get out of town. Speed kills as they say. Great example from way back is Bob “the bullet” Hays from the Dallas Cowboys. A Olympic sprinter who the Cowboys turned into one of the most feared receivers in the NFL during his time there. He was faster than a bullet per say against any DB who tried to keep up with him.

Back in the 70s they had a CFL skills competition. I remember Joe Holliman winning fastest Man in the CFL, I think he beat Larry Highbaugh. They also had one on one drills for linemen, similar to at combine. One year Butch Norman, a Bomber OT from Alabama, was absolutely punking the guys up against him.

I think its long over due for the CFL to have a Allstar game or something along that line. I think the last one was Edmonton vs Allstars of the league if I remember correctly and with skills
compitition as has been brought up
with the great players in this league it could be really interesting.

Ed Hervey was a world class sprinter. Renaldo Nehemiah played in the NFL for a few years as well, so it does work out sometimes.

I think these guys are all crazy to play football. Every single one ends up with a knee injury.
