And for the record “take this” – I live in Calgary, and don’t hate Winnipeg. Although Montreal was a train wreck last year, I do hope they put a contender on field this year for the good of the league. I am a Rider fan, and prior to his arrival was not much of a Carter fan. I have grown to appreciate his talent on field, and his compassionate side off field, which is what this piece is about. All banter aside – I just want the season to begin. Most teams have made some interesting changes and I look forward to a summer of quality CFL ball. Hopefully minus the command center mayhem.

Why is it all good to hate Calgary or Montreal or Winnipeg but don’t you dare say anything negative about Jones or Carter or anything green. Then it has become hateful and trolling.
Oh and by the way, I was never a fan of Michael Jackson.

Online hate and trolling on a sports site is just so damned vile, this is the place where most of us come to escape from real life for a few moments at a time. There’s not a thing wrong with good natured ribbing and banter but hate and trolling is just so pathetic. That is actually why Mr. Balaneski is my hero for the week, I mean the guy had the stones to actually apologize for poor behaviour, we could all take a page from his book, and raising money for kids with life threatening illnesses, there isn’t a nobeler cause. Kudos once sgain for both!
