The Bombers hosted the CFL championship game in 2015 when the Edmonton Eskimos beat the Ottawa Redblacks 26-20. The game was a sellout at Investors Group Field, which opened in 2013, with 36,634 fans packing that stadium. That was the fourth time Winnipeg hosted the Grey Cup and it brought $80 million to Winnipeg’s economy. Previous to 2015, the Bombers were the host club for the 2006 Grey Cup.
