If Jones found him expendable then why did he try to renegotiate with Muamba vs. just an outright release (ultimately done because he wouldn’t renegotiate)? Obviously at that price point he was expendable but that doesn’t mean his judgement is or isn’t any better than Walters. From what I can see they both have the same number of GC’s as GM’s so I’d say they’re pretty even at this point

I’m not sure if the Blue are any better after free agency, but yeah, with you… they at least broke even. An extra Canuck on the line is a good thing too — offset Westerman’s loss/which I’m fine with. The thought of Durant in Blue and Gold though …. that gives me the willies.
