Argos sign former Riders Canadian RB Greg Morris

The Argos have signed former Riders national running back Greg Morris.

The 25-year-old has played in 44 career CFL games in three seasons split between the Riders and Eskimos. The 5-11, 200-pound native of Toronto played in all 18 regular-season games and both playoff contests for the Riders in 2017, posting 66 rushing yards on 14 carries and one catch for 34 yards. On special teams, he added 32 kickoff returns for 732 yards (22.9 AVG), eight special teams tackles, and one forced fumble.

Back in 2012, Morris rushed for 405 yards in a game for the Westshore Rebels, which broke the single-game CJFL record and the BCFC mark set by Andrew Harris (400) in 2009. That year Morris rushed for 1,496 yards, 20 more than the two-time CFL All-Star produced in his best junior football season.
