LB Kyries Hebert not feeling the love from Alouettes on Valentine’s Day

Veteran Kyries Hebert sounds a bit like a jilted lover, er, linebacker.

Montreal had told Hebert to speak to other teams about establishing a market value for him to stay with the Als. But the feeling doesn’t seem to be mutual at this point.

Four-time Grey Cup champion Anwar Stewart, who played a number of seasons in Montreal, weighed in.

The 37-year-old Hebert made a career-high 110 tackles, forced three fumbles, made two sacks and intercepted one pass in 18 games last year. He was named an East Division all-star in 2017 and has spent the past six seasons in Montreal.

Hebert has played in 162 career CFL games recording 582 tackles, 145 special teams tackles, 28 sacks, 18 forced fumbles, 12 interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
