Edmonton is bringing back Forrest Hightower on a one-year deal, per sources.
The 25-year-old played in 10 games making 21 tackles and one interception in 2017. Hightower’s previous two CFL seasons were played in Ottawa where he recorded 63 tackles, two interceptions and one sack.
He was waived by the New Orleans Saints last May and signed with the Eskimos that same month. Current Edmonton general manager Brock Sunderland was in Ottawa when Hightower came into the CFL.
