Defensive back T.J. Heath is closing in on signing with the Argos, per sources.
After signing north of the border in 2016, Heath has been a CFL all-star twice in two seasons. He played 16 games between Toronto and Winnipeg in 2016 making 51 tackles and a league-high-tying seven interceptions. The 30-year-old followed that up with 64 tackles, five interceptions (tied for third-most in the league), returning one for a touchdown and recording one sack. The Argos dealt Heath to Winnipeg as part of the Drew Willy trade in September 2016.
