Montreal seems optimistic about getting two key players under contract before the free agent market opens, according to Montreal Gazette reporter Herb Zurkowsky.

Blake played just nine games in 2017 but the previous two seasons in Montreal he suited up in all 18. He’s an important Canadian starter on the Alouettes offensive line.
Bede had a bounce-back season in 2017 connecting on over 82 per cent of his field goal tries (29-of-35) while punting the ball for a 44.2 average. The Laval University product handled all the kicking duties for Montreal and earned a raise for 2018.
