His agent, by the way, is a dick. Ranting and raving about CFL contracts, being a drafted player (a system that is unfair to players, but none the less is the best path to pro sports and has worked for 100 years in multiple team sports leagues), and so on is, at best, silly, and at worst, harms his client.

Nothing he says is going to change the reality that there are two pro football leagues and they have different pay structures. He can blow all he wants, it isn’t going to magically result in a $100+ million cap in the CFL. It’s a waste of air, and he is probably harming his chances at clients in doing so, assuming any client can figure the above out, which they almost certainly can.

Mulumba can’t stick with an NFL team. That is the reality. He has a choice, and he’s decided to make one.
His options at this point are to sign with the Bombers for a rookie CFL contract (two years, as per CFL rules, with the second year a club option) and prove he still has what it takes to play at a high level. That is his path back to the NFL (if that’s what he wants) or to continue with a football career because he loves to play football. Life after pro sports is very different, and you need to want to play, plain and simple.
The Bombers, like almost any CFL team (Toronto notwithstanding, according to recent news) would probably release him after one year to explore NFL options, if they actually existed, if he asked. If not, play the second year and move back to “the show”.
Those are genuine options he could take if he “gave a ** about football”. The obvious takeaway here is he doesn’t want to play, because if he did, he could.

In reply to Putin. @ Putin, your option is irrelevant in this situation, Andy and his agent are the ones who are unhappy with the offer, only if it benefits the Bombers would they consider that but never the less Andy may still get an entry contract.
