Stampeders OL Dan Federkeil to retire: report

Veteran Calgary offensive lineman Dan Federkeil is set to hang up the cleats.

TSN’s Farhan Lalji reports.

Federkeil inked a deal with the Stamps after playing four seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts where he signed as an undrafted free agent. He played in 26 regular season NFL games making three starts.

In April 2013, Calgary acquired the CFL rights to Federkeil sending national linebacker Akwasi Antwi. The University of Calgary product played 59 games from 2013 to 2017 for the Stampeders, winning a Grey Cup in 2014.
