Stamps DB Josh Bell retires, joins Calgary coaching staff

Calgary Stampeders defensive back Josh Bell is retiring to join the team’s coaching staff as defensive backs’ coach.

“Josh was an intelligent player, a natural leader and a person who was very respected by the guys in the locker room,” Stampeders head coach Dave Dickenson said in a statement. “I’m confident he’ll be an excellent coach and I’m happy that he’s staying in the organization and taken on this new role.”

Bell played six CFL seasons, four with the Stamps  where he was a two-time West Division all-star.
