The Argos have been around for over 100 years. TFC 5? Their will be bumps in the road for both leagues.
But I will bet you that the CFL and Argos will still be around when the MLS folds.
Can’t wait for the new Canadian soccer league to start back by a real league.

I’m not sure you truly understand the game if you’re making that statement. The mighty United lost to MK Dons a couple years back. TFC has a couple truly class players. All teams have one or two guys that get paid at a level that competes with top leagues. Now I realize top players on United get 2 to 3 times what Giovinco makes, but United also has players making less than giovinco.

The MLS is not a top league and United would win 8 draw 1 or 2 with a potential win mixed in for TFC if they played 10 games.

The MLS isn’t the top league in the world, but it’s not terrible soccer.

FACT – TFC TV numbers for regular season games are PATHETIC.
Just sticking to the facts.

Why doesn’t anyone watch TFC on TV? Why, because it is a small niche sport in Toronto, just like the Argos.

You cite the Grey Cup ratings as evidence of the CFL ratings going up. But they are down overall each of the past four seasons. Stop being Trump and start sticking to the facts. The fact is that the MLS continues to expand into new markets and sign much bigger TV deals as their ratings continue to increase. The CFL is just 9 teams in Canada with one of them (Toronto) just barely hanging on due to embarrassing attendance figures. No comparison. Because of the American market, the MLS is already much more important than the CFL ever was or ever can be.

And the Cleveland Browns would blow a CFL All-Star team out the stadium. So what? Toronto FC absolutely dominates the Argos and they play in the same stadium. That’s an embarrassment to the CFL, not MLS. It also shows that fans WILL go to that stadium to watch a sport worth watching. So what is the Argos excuse?

You mean their championship soccer team that draws in more than twice as many fans *in the same stadium* as their epic failure of a CFL team? The Regina area has roughly 1/20th the population of the Toronto area. And they average nearly 28,000 per game. That is what the MLS team gets in BMO Field. Go ahead and laugh. It’s still two to three times more than the Argos get on the same field. MLS has nothing to be embarrassed about. The CFL and the Argos (the oldest pro team in North America) do.
