Eskimos re-sign Canadian defensive back Neil King and ink two others

The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed Canadian defensive back Neil King through the 2019 season.

King appeared in 10 games and recorded 27 tackles and one interception with the Eskimos in 2017. King also appeared in the West Division semifinal and recorded four tackles and one forced fumble.

King has appeared in 69 career games for Edmonton and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, where he has recorded 89 tackles, including 38 special teams tackles, one quarterback sack, three interceptions and one forced fumble.

Edmonton also announced Wednesday the signings of national defensive lineman Mark Mackie and international defensive back David Stevenson.

Mackie was selected by the Eskimos in the eighth round of the 2017 draft, 67th overall. He was returned to McMaster for the 2017 season where he appeared in 10 games and recorded 43 tackles, six quarterback sacks, and one fumble recovery.

Stevenson attended Connecticut University from 2011-13, appearing in 11 games and recorded 16 tackles.
