Don’t burst their bubble. Most Rider fans are convinced that Carter is the best player ever, and the nicest, most honest guy ever. They believe that he could play anywhere and that every CFL team is drooling over him. Anything he does that is second best or foolish, they come up with a multitude of excuses for. They are thrilled because he spends time with fans before games when most players are preparing and concentrating on the upcoming game. At this time for most, but certainly not all of Rider fans, Duron Carter can do no wrong. And that includes most of the Saskatchewan media. Go figure.

Carter has chosen to bless the CFL with his talent, eh? What a crock. After being “voted” the worst teammate in football. After assassinating the promising career of a talented sophomore quarterback like Rakeem Cato, Carter knows, as should we all, that the CFL is his ONE hope at playing pro ball…period.

Remembering that Carter’s beef with Cato was that the team had released Kevin Glenn, upsetting his plans to be the league’s MVP. Despite Cato’s comparable stats to Glenn during their times in Mtl, Carter had determined Cato wouldn’t fill his needs at QB, and so he went after him…viciously. A story conveniently forgotten in the CFL.

You think any NFL will take the chance of having their QB of the future torn to shreds by the “worst teammate in the league?” Riiiight.

Get comfortable Duron, you ain’t going nowhere.

Duran is a better receiver in a better league than Rice!!!

Carter loves playing our CFL game in Canada and loves being in the green & white. Great story and rare perspective from an American born football player with NFL level talent. Sorry if this doesn’t fit into your darker desire for a story – but it is what it is.

Yes, that it is very easy to be a big fish in such a small pond. Sad actually. Forever living in his father shadow, and being rejected by the NFL, again. No wonder he is mesmerized by gangrene fans, they too have nothing else to cheer for.
