OilRider the reason the endzones are half turf is because with the soccer configuration the field is shorter and the stands extend closer to the field.
They had to cut away part of the stands to fit a CFL field.

I hope they use some of that money to renovate BMO and give it full size endzones. I don’t like the turf endzones, but given that it was built using taxpayer money, being multi-purpose isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

But if we have to have turf endzones cuz soccer fans want the stands to move so they can sit closer to their game, then we should damn well get to have full size endzones instead of that 17 yard nonsense they have at BMO

In reply to Jim. It is certainly NOT all grass. Those end-zones are a disgrace. It's time to either plant grass in them are go all turf. As for advertising, you're stuck in the 20th Century. I never see more ads during the game than when I watch a soccer game from *anywhere* around the world. Soccer teams started the trend...

I don’t want the country involved with all the corruption the world cup or olympics brings. Don’t want government involved with soccer – corporate agenda keeps pushing this on us and most of us don’t follow it or don’t care – how many of us believe what Corporate Canada is telling us?
