Danny Barrett has landed in Houston after the Miami Dolphins let him go.
The 56-year-old spent two seasons in Miami.
He was in the mix as the Montreal Alouettes conducted their head coach search which ultimately resulted in Mike Sherman being hired.
Barrett has plenty of CFL experience both as a player and a coach. He spent 16 years at quarterback with four different teams and served as head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2000 to 2006, compiling a 57-68-1 regular season record and 3-5 in the playoffs. After that Barrett spent the better part of a decade with U.S. college teams.
