If you go back and look at Carter’s social media, interviews and actions that include a lot of kindness and caring with others you’ll see a common thread of decency and love for Canada and the CFL.

I think he’s attracted to the culture here and friendliness including where he as an African American can pretty much go into city in the CFL and find a warm welcome (maybe not from fans ) and where’s he afraid of the police.

Carter is a beast of an athlete, and with Collaros at the helm, the Riders will be a force this year for sure. NFL’s loss is the CFL’s gain in my opinion. Going to be another exciting season out west.

Can’t say the same thing for the comments section here. I feel like I’m eating a steak dinner at Applebees. So much weaksauce poured over so little meat.

In reply to BD. Rakeem Cato was the true cancer in Montreal. That's why he was eventually cut and why not one other CFL team even took his agents calls, despite the fact he produced a 100.7 passer rating in 2016.

Agreed, comments are same old – same old.

Duron has not been the cancer people made him out to be. Kids love the guy and he always spends time with them. If you want to fit in with Rider fans, you have to be part of the community. Not so in other cities but a requirement here.

So far so good and glad he signed back here again.

In reply to STAMPS. I'm not sure how you define choke. The Riders turned a 5-13 season into 10-8, made playoffs, and were a minute away from a GC berth vs the Stamps. The Stamps' record slid a notch, but still secured first place in the league (again) only to lose (again) to a team that lost as often as it won. If the Riders choked, the Stamps asphyxiated themselves in their own bilious egos.
