Bombers’ Chris Randle on Johnny Manziel: ‘I will take my experience vs. his playmaking ability’

Chris Randle wants the chance to line up and play against Johnny Manziel.

“He won the Heisman, right? Johnny Manziel, that’s exciting for our game. I think it brings more attention,” Randle told Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun.

“Me, knowing the knowledge I know, I would love to put that up against Johnny Manziel and the talent that he has right now. I will take my experience vs. his playmaking ability and what I think he’ll be able to bring and what our team can do. It’s good competition for our league and good publicity for our game.”

Randle, the 2017 CFL all-star defensive back, signed a two-year extension on Friday and he was Winnipeg’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player last season. He’s played six seasons and recorded 15 interceptions.

If Manziel comes to the CFL Randle seems confident he can add picking off the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner to his resume.
