Als should of kept Vernon Adams to take over for Durant. A good young QB who was coming on when he had the chance to play. Would not be surprised to see him back there if Freeman bombs and the Als do not end up with Johnny Manziel.

Darian Durant pretty much has to sit back and see what Ricky Ray decides and/or how much progress Travis Lulay makes. If Ray does retire and Lulay isn’t forecast to return until late season or 2019, both spots would be 1A and 1B on his preferences. Playing for great coaches: Marc Trestman or Wally Buono. Backing up top young talents: Jennings & Franklin. But still a shot to be a starter if either of them falters as the primary signal caller.

Great show. Football talk never gets old.
It is intriguing why Carter turned down 2 NFL offers. Jones had a visit with Carter last week, curious how that went as well. I hope he comes back, you gotta wonder what that will cost? If he has a legit starter throwing to him for 18 games his numbers will skyrocket. I imagine most the contracts signed from here on out will all be 1 year deals with a new cba due, with hopes of the cap getting a significant bump.
Regarding Lulay, he likely resigns and they stick with what they have at QB, even though he won’t be ready for a while. We all want to see him healthy. Especially a good man like that.
