CFL commish presenting at women in football careers NFL forum

The NFL will host a forum on women’s careers in football next week before the Pro Bowl.

Fifty women representing five countries (U.S., Canada, Panama, Germany and Australia) will participate in the event on Jan. 26-27 in Orlando. The Pro Bowl is Jan. 28.

The forum will feature panel discussions and networking sessions aimed at educating and preparing women for careers in football operations, including coaching, officiating, scouting and front-office positions.

Twenty-two women who participated in the inaugural forum last year got jobs in football operations across the professional, collegiate and high school levels, including nine who obtained internships in the NFL.

Featured speakers and presenters include CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie, NFL chief football administration officer Dawn Aponte, Falcons assistant general manager Scott Pioli, NFL director of football development Samantha Rapoport, Panthers coach Ron Rivera and Stanford coach David Shaw.
