The players in that role deserve more respect. Langa was a beast on special teams, with 24 special teams tackles, which is 4th in the CFL. And In case you didn’t realize it, many Americans play special teams too. He had more tackles than most of them too. You obviously don’t grasp the overall game of football, nor do you realize the ratio refers to the offensive and defensive starters, not special teams.

Special teams player does not count as a ratio player; a ratio player must have a position on the team.

Not sure what the issue is here — special teams are important in the CFL, and Langa has become a key contributor. So what if he’s merely a depth player at his natural defensive position?

Good to have him back. I’d like to see Shortill (another ST guy who provides depth elsewhere) re-sign too. Hopefully among the news about guys like Tasker, Dean, Prime…

Another Canadian DB draft pick that is not good enough to play at DB but can play special teams.
Any import DB will start ahead of him. But with the ratio rules, you have to play him.

I would be worried that Coach Jones may under estimate Tasker because I”ve heard him say on many occasions that really fast guys seem to work the best in his system because luke may be among the best 5 or 6 receivers in the CFL very hard to replace that go to possession guy!
