I think this is the begining of the end for O’Shea (yeah, we’ve heard that before). He will be trying his hand at defense this year and micro managing Richie Hall – since “defense is so easy” instead of addressing the glaring talent deficiecies they have on D. Look for Sam Hurl to start at mlb again – sweet lord!

O’Shea is unbelievable. He fires the defensive assistants. Thinks about becoming Defensive Cordinator & in the end keeps Hall saying he is a valuable asset while taking 2 months to come to that conclusion. Keeping Hall makes no sense.

In reply to Telling it like it is. Actually, without all the talented stars forcing the most turnovers in the league, the Bombers under Hall might have given up 8,000 yards. Those turnovers masked what was easily the worst defense in the league. And when you are that bad, either your offense can't stay on the field (not the case here) or your coordinator is being outcoached. The Bombers are neither resigning their good defensive players nor looking for a better coordinator. They had better be perfect in the free agency period or they will only finish ahead of teams in the Leastern Conference.

Sometimes it’s more about the talent and not the DC. Richie has always had success at DC. When he was in SK he had several years with a solid D. Win the Grey Cup in 2013. Right at the end of his tenure in SK (2014) the talent had eroded badly and Chamblin was micro managing on Defence. It really showed the next year when Richie was gone and Chamblin had a Montreal positional Coach Greg Quick named as the DC. When it was all Chamblin calling the Defence. SK was at 0-9 and Taman and Chamblin were fired. Now Chamblin as the Argos DC had great talent and win the Grey Cup.
Get far more talent on the Bombers Defence. Having 3 or 4 stars dosent make up for the other 8 guys.
