Christion Jones broke the news of his extension days ago on Instagram.
The team made it official Wednesday that the 25-year-old is now under contract with the Riders through the 2019 season.
Jones returned 45 punts for 645 yards and two touchdowns and added 223 yards on 12 punt returns in the playoffs, including a 79-yard touchdown that put the Rides in the lead late in the fourth quarter of the Eastern Final but Ricky Ray led a last-minute drive to deliver an Argos victory.
After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft, he signed a free agent contract with the Dolphins, but got waived in the final cuts. Jones was in Argos training camp in 2016 but he was released after suffering an injury.
The dynamic return man was the Riders Most Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2017.
