Still thinking Franklin is going to compete for #1 & settle for 2nd banana if he loses to Bridge? I see on another site someone questioned what kind of info you base on Franklin signing there? Appears to be a lot of reasons for him not to sign. Any reason why he should sign, RFD? I haven’t seen anybody else talking about Franklingoing to Regina much. I can’t say I share your optimism.

Yes believe so , he sounded positive regarding his Giants workout ; Wishing BB the best , and will enjoy him as a RIDER once again this season , It would be wonderful to see a Canadian born Qb actually get a real shot at being a NFL starter though.

He has the chops to be our franchise starter. Durant was still a work in progress when he was new to the riders. I hope the league does the right thing regarding the ratio issue. Good for business. Also a fan magnet. Bridge is opening doors for young Canadian quarterbacks and this should be developed with all sorts of financial incentives to develop our own young quarterbacks who would bring their own fan base to the league. Maybe, but a lot of players are signing contracts through 2018 because of the upcoming renegotiation of the CBA. With the growth of the league, the expectation is that the salary cap will increase, meaning more $ for players.

Not to mention the potential upcoming addition of QB to the national ratio – if Bridge has himself a good year and CDN QBs count toward the ratio, his asking price will skyrocket.
