Philadelphia Eagles workout two defenders from Alberta CFL teams

Philadelphia had two defenders in for workouts at the Eagles facility on Monday, Stampeders defensive end Ja’Gared Davis and Eskimos linebacker Kenny Ladler.

Davis has 16 sacks in 28 career CFL games for Calgary along with 64 tackles, five forced fumbles, one interception and one touchdown. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2013 by the Houston Texans. New England claimed him off off waiver and Davis had stints with the Redskins and Chiefs making five tackles in seven games.

Ladler was a CFL all-star at cover linebacker in 2017. He made 86 tackles, intercepted three passes and recovered two fumbles in 17 games. The Vanderbilt product was signed as an undrafted free agent by Buffalo in 2014 playing two games for the Bills recording four tackles, but he was released after training camp in 2015.
