With the Montreal Alouettes set to make some kind of announcement at 11 a.m.on Wednesday, there’s been plenty of speculation about the coaching situation.
The latest juicy tidbit came from Alouette’s play-by-play man Rick Moffatt via Instagram last night…
That theory seems to be gaining some steam, first via Gazette beat man Herb Zurkowsky…

And then TSN’s Dave Naylor….

Of course earlier on Thursday, Gary Crowton had been the name being floated…

Gary Crowton was OC with the @Wpg_BlueBombers at the same time Joe Mack was GM. Mack is now assistant GM in Montreal. #CFL #Als

I’ve been told Kerry Joseph and Rich Stubler could be part of #Als’ coaching equation – but as offensive and defensive co-ordinators, respectively.

There has been a steady flow of reporting, rumour and speculation on the Alouettes’ coaching situation for weeks so who knows what’s true at this point? But that general manager Kavis Reed could be recruiting offensive and defensive coordinators – instead of, say, allowing a head coach to bring in his own guys – makes about as much sense anything else in this whole process.
UPDATE: No, Joseph is out.
Now I’m told Kerry Joseph is not part of the equation. Staying at NcNeese State
