Redblacks name former Alouette and Eskimo receivers coach

Ottawa has hired former CFLer Winston October as the team’s new receivers coach.

October, who as a player suited up for the Montreal Alouettes, Edmonton Eskimos and in the NFL with the Washington Redskins, comes to Ottawa after coaching the receivers at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

“Winston is an experienced player and coach and we’re happy he chose to join the Redblacks,” said general manager Marcel Desjardins.
