The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed receiver Kamar Jorden, the man who cost them a Grey Cup.
Jorden fumbled in the CFL championship, which led to a game-changing Argos defensive touchdown.
Fellow receiver Marquay McDaniel blamed Jorden for Calgary’s CFL championship loss, but the Stamps have put that behind them.
In 10 regular-season games for the Stamps in 2017, the 28-year-old had 52 receptions for 717 yards and six touchdowns and one rushing major. He missed eight games due to a leg injury.
The Bowling Green State University product started both post-season games and had 100-yard performances in each contest. He had six catches for 111 yards in the Western Final and six catches for 117 yards and a touchdown in the Grey Cup.
“Kamar has emerged as one of our go-to receivers over the past two seasons and we’re very pleased to have him back,” said Calgary president and general manager John Hufnagel.
Jorden signed with the Stampeders as a free agent in 2013 and made his debut in 2014. In 22 career games for the red and white, he has 97 catches for 1,310 yards and nine touchdowns.
