Ray wasn’t on the Edmonton team when Maas was starting QB as well as a Western All Star.

Ray was in the NFL when Maas as Edmonton’s starting QB put up something like six hundred yards *more* than Ray had the year before, with a 105.1 QB rating.

If he wasn’t up to being a starter, he should have cracked with the high expectations Ray had left for him.

Injuries seem more of an issue than preferring the backup QB role.

Man BC Dave you are so far off the mark with that comment. The facts are most of you know very little about the other teams and just think you do.
Rod is friends with all of the other teams play by play and color people. He’s also friends with 80% of the assistant coaches in the league. It dosent matter who makes any kind of comment today. LOL! So it was the “O-Line” that doomed Maas and Printers careers as TC QB’s? How about this…that Maas was always more comfortable as a back up and could always rely on Ricky Ray to bail him out. And Printers let his over sized ego, as well as a nagging shoulder injury, get the best of him and he was washed up at 26. As for the 1.5 m dollar man it’s the space between his ears that’s the problem. Perhaps you should do more research next time and it may save you from posting another ignorant comment in the future.
