conspiracy theory number 99999 … Ambrosie screwed the Ticats by stopping the Manziel signing around labour day. So he is trying to make up for it by tailoring the Neg list rules to them. I suspect but can’t prove of course that June Jones is getting calls from the current NFL bottom feeders most likely Giants, Browns, Broncos, Colts, and maybe 2 others. They are telling him (I am guessing) to hold off till January he may get some interviews. If he gets a job then Masoli, Manziel and Banks are coming with him. So Ambrosie does not want to start he 10 day clock till Jones commits to Ticats because Jones will want Manziel also. WHy NFL and not NCAA? Although he turned around both Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and SMU to a lesser degree I think the NCAA is scared by his age. The NFL though is intrigued by his mid season turn around at Hamilton because he did it with the same players Austin had with a few minor cheap free agent signings. They also know Jones had success at Atlanta in the mid 90’s till his profanity laced televised side line tirade against Jeff George got him blackballed. But that was a long time ago around in the 90’s. Some teams are tired of slow rebuild (Browns) and looking for the quick fix June gave Hamilton with just nothing more than good motivation.

Let’s see … few gave the late in the game hired Popp and Trestman a chance to do well, let alone win the GC.

You say Collaros is done while Popp offered to trade for Collaros.

In reply to patlynch. just the player movement rules from soccer. Canadians will still be in the CFL but based on merit. Same as Americans in NHL have no quotas but take 25% slots on merit. 50% Cana and 25% Euros in NHL.

Manziel to the Ticats is a lock. Masoli re-signing with the Ticats is a lock. I suspect Collaros to the riders or als. Either way, with JJ as coach, Ticats will contend for Grey Cup 2018…easily.

Anyone remember Calvillo early in his career, especially fans in Hamilton? Forget about how many years Masoli’s been in the league, ask how many games has he started. The learning curve for an American QB in Canada is a long one. Look at Jennings. He’s started more games than Masoli, and he’s still learning. His performance this year proves that, and he didn’t go through a system change in mid-season! Masoli has another quality that makes him valuable. He’s durable!
