Mitchell managed to throw for 4,700 yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while leading Calgary to the best record in the CFL at 13-4-1 despite the ailments. He was hurt initially in Week 5 against the Riders.
The 27-year-old played those issues which are painful. Others might not have been able to put up with it, but the Stampeders franchise pivot did and never made an excuse.
